A Little Shimmer

As the lucky recipient of an entire box of clothing from my best friend's mother, Joyce, in Spokane recently, I was like a kid in a candy store Tuesday trying to decide what to wear for a day of research at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C.  My pick from that box of enchanting clothes that all fit me perfectly?  A gorgeous shimmery tunic with a black, blue and mauve floral pattern by Vintage Suzie for Macy's over a pair of Vera Wang capris from Kohl's that I already owned.  I chose some oh-so-comfy Aerosole wedge sandals in black to complete the outfit and accessorized with a beautiful blue beaded bracelet hand made by my friend Lily Williams in Northern California.

The gorgeous late spring day was made all the better by brilliant blue skies and fluffy clouds buffeted by a Canadian breeze that kept temperatures in the 60s and humidity at bay. Days such as this, when weather and wardrobe come together in perfect harmony, make me glad to be alive.
